Alway's In Practice

Picture
Well here goes, as you see in the photograph, I got lucky and caught a really nice fish on Saturday, but here is the kicker, the tournament was over for the day.  I went out with pro angler Brian Kanke who is the owner of Bent Rod Tackle Group, which have put out Ultimate Bucketmouth Baits. Brian asked me if I would like to go ride with him for a minute, while he checked a few places for an upcoming tournament. I said why not, well as luck would have it, we pull up on a spot and Brian said he just wanted to check it out for a few cast's and we would be gone. As he was getting his rod out he asked if I wanted to throw a few times as well, I told him sure why not, but with my luck I will probably stick the fish I need tommrow. Brian handed me a rod that had a shaky head tied on and on it was a Mr. Ugly I believe in  pumpkin geen flake. Brian looked at the water and said it looked stained so he took the bait off and put on the green pumpkin purple flake. I throwed out about 2 times and caught a small kentucky. Brian decided to throw a texas rig ugly craw green pumpkin purple flake. and caught about four fish in a short time. I had stuck one to deep and had to have Brian help get the hook out without killing it, after getting re rigged Brian handed me some of his Live Jive Juice and told me to add it to the bait. Now I have been using the juice for 2 day's already and have caught several fish but nothing that was going to get a check.  I finally throwed out and almost immediately felt a tap and thought it was another small kentucky, to my surprise it was this fish that had just inhaled my bait, I just started laughing and told Brian well I told you so, my luck right on track. We did not weigh the fish but I would bet it would have given the leader's a run for their money but such is life.   If you would like to see the baits we used click the link http://www.ultimatebucketmouth.com/baits.asp

It Is Sad That Greed Has Put A Spotlight On Bass Tournaments

First off I was not at the event in question, I did not witness what had occured, but I did find a link to the tournament web site that gave details of the infraction. Please click it and read the information.  http://www.budlighttrail.com/BLT/newsrelease.html  I also want to thank the tournament officials for doing a great job in keeping integrity in my favorite sport.
